meeting and greeting fans of all ages. After a short meeting the two players began their tour of the facility. Franzen first approached a customer who was in the process of purchasing a new vehicle and surprised them with two tickets to a Red Wings game. Howard then found another pair of unsuspecting customers and provided them with tickets. Franzen and Howard took turns passing out tickets and showing how much they appreciate fans of the Detroit Red Wings.
Continuing
the tour, "Howie" and "The Mule" then visited the service area where
they met with technicians and talked about current repairs. They were
both inquisitive about their work while they passed out tickets to the technicians. Howard replied, while laughing, "I'm not going to lie, I have no idea what those are," after asking technician Paul Williams what he was working on.

Franzen had his turn as he stood and spoke with Technician Eric Azzoli for
a few moments after the group had continued on with the tour. Eric was performing a transmission flush at the time. Franzen
was pointing all over the engine and asking many questions that Eric gladly answered.
Franzen and Howard ended their Hockeytown Thanks business tour with autograph signing and photo opportunities. It was a great turn out and a great day at work for customers and employees alike. The Detroit Red Wings organization continues to show why their players shine both on and off the ice through customer interactions such as the Hockeytown Thanks tour.
